Status lifecycle
How an invoice moves from pending to paid.
| Status | Meaning | Webhook |
|---|---|---|
pending | Waiting for the buyer. If no network was set, the buyer picks one on the checkout. | — |
confirming | A transfer was seen on-chain and is collecting confirmations. | invoice.confirming |
paid | The full amount (within your underpayment tolerance) is confirmed and credited. | invoice.paid |
overpaid | More than requested was received; the excess is credited to you. | invoice.overpaid |
partially_paid | Less than requested arrived. The buyer can top up before expiry; at expiry the received amount is settled to you. | invoice.partially_paid |
expired | Nothing was received before expires_at. | invoice.expired |
Fees
With fee_payer=buyer (default) the buyer pays amount + platform fee + network fee and you are credited exactly amount. With fee_payer=merchant the buyer pays amount and fees are deducted from your credit. The platform fee is your plan's percentage (or your custom rate) with a per-payment minimum.
Late payments
Deposit addresses stay locked to an invoice for a grace period after expiry, so a payment that arrives late is still matched and settled.
